Finite Beauty

0

A poem about beauty and loneliness.

Surrounded by beauty
But all alone
Lost in a sea of mist
In a world of magic
Fascinating at first
But in time all grows cold
Where are the others?
What is beauty
When shared by none?
The moonlight pours through the branches
Casting light on the solitude
And darkening the shadows
Where are the others?
The magic is gone now
Emptiness, loneliness, shadows remain
Lost in a sea of forgotten beauty
Beauty finite when not shared
