Welcome to AdamTheAlien.com!

Greetings, Earthlings! I am pleased to announce the official launch of AdamTheAlien.com!

I’ve been without a central website for some time, now, and as a result I’ve been spread thin across the Internet. When asked where on the web I could be found, I’ve found myself listing off an increasing amount of websites: YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Dailybooth, etc.

I’ve made several attempts, as I’ve gained more recognition, to centralize my online activities on blog websites such as WordPress and Blogspot. These attempts, unfortunately, only contributed to the problem by adding yet another site onto the long list of those I’d have to tell people about, or link to in video descriptions.

I’ve even attempted to get this very website operational numerous times over the years, always meeting with the dastardly obstacle of time, as well as its nefarious allies, computer failure and data loss.

But now, finally, AdamTheAlien.com is a reality.

It is important to note, however, that this site is still in beta. There are a lot of changes still to come, especially in the first few months. Among the changes to come:

Layout changes – The current layout is temporary, while I work with my friends over at The League of Magnificent Scoundrels in putting together a better, more lasting layout. Expect some changes in navigation, too, as we work to make it as ideal as it can be for everyone to peruse the site with ease.

Adam the Alien: The Webcomic – It’s been my dream for some time to start a webcomic, and I’ve been working on drawing the initial pages even as Tenach – a member of the aforementioned Scoundrels – gets the technical side worked out. In the meantime, I’ve already posted a preview of the webcomic, for those interested in getting a sneak peek.

Archive Completion – I’m still working on archiving a lot of old videos and posts. Most notably, I still have about seven months worth of videos to archive from Vlogtag’s impressive run. Not surprising as in the course of almost two and a half years, Vlogtag has posted over 600 videos.

Forums – Tenach is working on getting forums active, so there can be discussion outside of the comment threads on individual posts.

About pages and Alienpedia – Some of the videos I and my friends make can be confusing. Since we’ve been at it for years, occasionally a joke or a reference that started ages back will pop up. Additionally, I don’t just sit and talk to my camera from my bedroom all the time ; I prefer to get out and about. As such, a lot of different people show up in my videos. Currently, there is a “Who’s Who” page for Vlogtag, which briefly summarizes the Vlogtaggers and who they are. I will be putting together more of these pages, as well as an Adam the Alien wiki as a more detailed, simple way of looking up anything which may be confusing, especially to new viewers and readers.

Columns, reviews, art galleries, and more! – I’ve got big plans for this site, and as AdamTheAlien.com finally launches, those dreams are only getting bigger. Be sure to check back for an increasing amount of content, taking form in a variety of different ways.

Of course, this doesn’t mean I can’t still be found in all the usual ways, but this site will be my central hub. From here, you’ll be able to find me, and my co-conspirators in awesome,wherever else we might be on the vastness of the web.

Since the site is still in beta, I’m asking anyone and everyone to report all errors in the comments of either this post or the post the error is on. Also, if there is anything that you believe would improve your experience on this site, let me know. I want this to be the best website in can possibly be.

As happy as I am to finally have this site working, the best is yet to come. I look forward to the evolution of AdamTheAlien.com, and hopefully your participation in its growth.
