Has it really only been a week since Easter?

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Hello, Earthlings! It is…what, April eighth? Eighth? Ninth? Oh God, I’m losing track. No, eighth! Definitely…it’s…it’s day eight of Vlog Every Day April. And this video is definitely going to be up late, because it’s almost midnight, and I’m still recording.

I am exhausted, and time has been moving a little weird for me this week. Not because of the Vlog Every Day April thing, though I’m sure that’s contributing. But it’s just been…it’s it’s been a really busy week, to the point that every time I go to make these videos, I look at the date so I can date the file and, you know, make sure I’m on track and everything…nd I am astounded that April isn’t almost over. This last week has felt like a month.

I’m just astounded by the way we perceive time. Especially in regard to how fast it can go by while simultaneously being slow.

For those who don’t know, I have spent much of the last handful of years living on a farm. We came up with a term called “farm time”. Farm time resulted from…mostly from, I think, meeting a lot of people in short succession, because there would be workers who would come only for a few weeks. You meet people, and you get really invested in them, and you feel like you’ve known them forever, so they must have been here like a year, right? No. No. Two weeks.

But at the same time…that time just…it–it zips by! And I guess that’s what I’m having this week. Daily, time is zipping by. But the week is just…has exhausted me. It’s not a bad exhaustion, either. It’s a very good exhaustion. I’ve had some wonderful experiences this week. In fact, I would say all of the most exhausting things were wonderful. This has been a week of very condensed life.

And I guess that’s kind of the nature of life: to feel like it’s both rushing by and taking forever at the same time, depending on just what ways you’re looking at it and what things you’re expecting.

Yeah, there’s no real point to this. I just need to get a video up! Uh, hopefully my exhausted musings have aMUSED you.

Yeah, that…that was a bad pun. I could have said something about the band Muse. That would have also been a bad pun.

I’m just…I think I…I need to go, now.

Until next time, I’m Adam the Alien. Fare thee well.

No, wait. Until TOMORROW. Until tomorrow, I’m Adam the Alien. Fare thee well.

And this is the part where I just talk for a little bit so that I can have an endscreen. Because, uh…yeah, I should do that. I hope you, y’know, watch these other videos that are appearing in front of the screen in front of you. I really need to stop recording. Goodnight!
